Inside the structure you will find a reception hall comfortably furnished with tables, chairs, armchairs, LCD TV, WiFi, used for the activity of B & B, and 5 rooms that the B & B puts at your disposal. At the reception you can ask for all the information, give guidance on own breakfasts, get news about places of historical, artistic and cultural events in programming, about the trails, the surroundings and on the timetables of public transport.
Il Canto delle Sirene B&B is situated on a lush plateau covered by the colors and scents of the Mediterranean, which slopes gently toward the sea. The B & B is surrounded by numerous terraced fields, some of which belong to the same owners in which you admire the characteristic pergola of vines ( from the grapes of vineyards of Furore are produced red wines, rosé and white DOC). The breathtaking places gaze directly on Li Galli, the Island full of charm and mystery from which the enchanting Sirens tried in vain Ulysses. The archipelago is made even more impressive when it is illuminated by the light of the setting of the sun or the moon.
The name of Li Galli comes from the legend that the ancient Greek Sirens were not visions of women with the body of the likeness of a fish, but a bird. The Sirens bewitched the sailors with their songs making them wrecked against the rocks. There were only two ships managed to escape, that of Odysseus and the Argonauts helped by Orpheus. Homer tells the story of the sorceress Circe advised Ulysses to bind to a pole to resist the temptation to reach the sirens. The brave weatherstripping made of wax ears of the sailors as the ship went without crashing against the rocks. Following the Sirens, for the humiliation suffered by the sublime song intoned by the lyre of Orpheus (during the voyage with the Argonauts), jumped into the water and were turned into stones. On the archipelago of Li Galli is built a villa by the Russian dancer and choreographer Leonide Massine. The villa, decorated by the architect Le Corbusier, was later bought by the famous dancer Rudolf Nureyev.
The history of this ancient archipelago, which is part of the Marine Protected Area of Punta Campanella, covered by centuries of legends and myths, has fascinated the same owners of the B&B that they wanted to pull the name of the B&B, the legend of Li Galli. The warmth, hospitality, professionalism and their friendliness is reflected in the refinement of the interior and the exterior of the B & B with its terraces enjoy spectacular views of the coast and the sea. The colors of the furnishings recreate the colors of the surrounding landscape, where the country of Furore makes continual reference in the murals that fit this place in the Club of the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy.
A short distance from the B&B is the Belvedere Punta Overview of Agerola where a column commemorates the passing of Fausto Coppi; from here you can enjoy an amazing view of the coast and you can reach the area of the Parco Corona of Agerola, surrounded by chestnut, from which you can go to one of the most well-known hiking trails of the Amalfi Coast: The Path of the Gods
